LoveCopenhagen: What are you up to at the moment?
Dmitriy Karpenko (DK): At the moment, I’m preparing for the opening of the new show KONFETTI at Wallmans Dinnerparty. Opens Aug 29th.

LoveCopenhagen: Where do you live?
Dmitriy Karpenko (DK):Copenhagen, Nørrebro

LoveCopenhagen: Where do you go for a walk?
DK: I like to go for a walk around the lakes or Kastellet.

LoveCopenhagen: Where do you drink coffee?
DK: I have two favorite places to go for coffee: one is next to my apartment, called Arrebo, and the other is in the city, called Sonny.

LoveCopenhagen: Where do you go out to eat?
DK: I’m a big fan of seafood and often go to my favorite restaurant, Skagen Fiskerestaurant. I also love having brunch at Ø12.

LoveCopenhagen: Where do you party?
DK: I love going for a cocktail at Ruby or 1105. If I’m in the mood for wine, then it’s definitely Ved Stranden 10, before heading to the jazz club La Fontaine.

LoveCopenhagen: Where do you get inspired?
DK: I can get inspired just by walking around Copenhagen. I think the streets are so beautiful and cozy—it’s easy to feel inspired. I also find it very inspiring to walk by the port, as I really love the water.

LoveCopenhagen: What is your favourite place in Copenhagen?
DK: I think Glyptoteket and Kings Garden.

LoveCopenhagen: Where have you last felt in love with Copenhagen?
DK: When I sat with coffee and a book in the garden of the Royal Library.

LoveCopenhagen: What is your best memory of Copenhagen?
DK: My best memory of Copenhagen is connected to my work. I still remember the first time I entered the historic Circus building and realized that this was the place where I would perform. It felt so beautiful and magical — a moment that has stayed with me ever since.

LoveCopenhagen: Your recommendation to the best experience in Copenhagen?
DK: If I had to recommend one experience in Copenhagen, I’d say taking a walk or renting a bike along the harbor, from Nyhavn to The Little Mermaid. It gives a mix of history, architecture, and the city’s strong cycling culture. Afterwards, I’d suggest relaxing in the King’s Garden with a coffee — it’s a peaceful way to experience how Copenhagen balances energy and calm.

LoveCopenhagen: Even though Copenhagen is great, if you could add one thing to the city what would it be?
DK: For me, Copenhagen is perfect and I literally can’t add even one thing 🙂

LoveCopenhagen: Your soundtrack to the city?
DK: Sade – By Your Side

Thank you so much for sharing your Copenhagen with us, Dmitriy!

HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY!
