It’s the first weekend of August, and it seems like everyone is finally back from holidays around the world. And though I’ve still not completely recovered from last weekends Trailerpark Festival, I look forward to a semi-festive couple of days with concerts, movies, going to the beach and eating delicious food on Nørrebro.
Thursday
KONFETTI
Tonight Soundvenue is hosting a party at Copenhagen Street Food; KONFETTI! The Danish synth pop duo, First Hate, is playing followed by Soho Rezanejad who will deliver clubhits to the dancefloor.
Copenhagen Street Food is one of the best places to eat in the city during summer; Soundvenue always throw great parties, and First Hate is amazing live. So there’s really no reason why you should stay home tonight.
Friday

50 % off the menu card at Djuus
Tomorrow I’m having breakfast with a wonderful woman, whom I’m planning a trip to Lissabon with. We are meeting at Djuus, where you get 50 % off on the whole menu card Friday and Saturday, if you check in with your Yelp-app. I’m going for something with avocado and something with matcha. Mmmmm…!

Coffee meeting at the best coffee place in CPH
After that I’m heading to Coffee Collective for a meeting – they seriously have the best coffee in town, and the only place where I drink my coffee black! On top of that the café in Frederiksberg is so beautifully decorated, I absolutely love the interieur.

Let’s party and swim in the sea
Friday night I think I’ll crab whoever wants to come with me to Helgoland by Amager Strandpark. This private swimming pool by the sea side is open for everyone during the summer, and since I promised myself, that I have to swim in the sea at least once a week, I better get going. And you can always bring a bottle of wine and some snacks – and maybe a guitar?
Saturday
Red Roof feat. Music for Dreams
It’s that time of year where the city is filled with electronic music events – STRØM Festival is taking over my city, and I love it. Tonight there is going to be a huge roof top party at DGI Byen hosted by Music For Dreams. Even though it looks like it’s going to rain on Saturday there is no need to stay inside. This party will definitely be worth a dance in the rain. It’s the opening party so it’s also a great opportunity to meet new friends and make plans for the rest of the festival.
19-01, free entrance
Sunday
Chillout concerts – Stella Polaris
How is it even possible to create such a friendly, happy, beautiful and fun event as Stella Polaris? At first it was only a small party in Copenhagen, a chill out event – now it’s also in Kolding, Aarhus and Sønderborg. Their musical profile is downbeat electronic music, and I’ve always loved their compilations, which you can find on Spotify.
This year you can experience (to name a few) Phlake, Chinah, Tue Track, Slowolf and Blondage.
12-21, free entrance
Just chill
The rest of the weekend I will spend reading books (at the moment I’m researching for an article about love and relationships), finish the last details on my new website, and sleep in late watching a new documentary about O. J. Simpson, Mr Robot (which I already finished, but it’s so good, I have to see it again), and visit my family in Vedbæk.
Have a great weekend, everyone, and remember, that nobody is forcing you to play Pokémon Go. It’s totally up to you, what you want to do with your time. And your life.
